After studying environmental protection in college, Yan Huanhuan joined the environment department of a state-owned enterprise.

从环保专业毕业后，闫欢欢加入了一家央企的生态环境部门。

"After years of technological breakthroughs and research, our team now uses a new type of chemicals in wastewater treatment, which substitutes traditional agents," Yan, 35, told CGTN. The company she is working with has established an "innovation workshop" under her name, hoping to group up young aspiring engineers like Yan to be devoted to the green cause.

“我们团队经过多年的技术创新和研究，采用新型的废水处理药剂替代了传统药剂，”35岁的闫欢欢告诉央视记者。她所在的公司以她的名字成立了一个“创新工作室”，希望能把像闫欢欢这样有抱负的年轻人聚集起来，致力于绿色事业。

"I want to have my share of contribution to the cause of China's environmental protection through my efforts," she said.

“我希望通过自己的努力为中国的生态环境保护事业作出自己的贡献，”她说。

Yan said she is proud to represent grassroots-level workers as a delegate to the ongoing 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

闫欢欢说，她十分自豪能作为基层一线工人当选为中国共产党第二十次全国代表大会的代表之一。

"I think I was placed with great responsibility too," she said. "Eco-civilization requires the participation and efforts of all, and will be shared by all. It requires the participation of more people. I hope to see more young people come join me in the fight for this cause."

“我深感责任重大，”她说。“生态文明是人民群众共同参与、共同建设、共同享有的事业，需要更多人的参与。我希望看到更多的年轻人和我一起为这个事业而奋斗。”
